The Calumet Copper Kings scored 20 points in the opening quarter and then continued to use a balanced offense, working girls in off the bench when necessary, to earn a 65-27 win on the road over the Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes.
Ava Anderson and Elli Djerf both had big nights offensively with 14 points each. Anderson had seven points as part of a 19-point second quarter for the Copper Kings.
Djerf led the way in the third, where she had eight of her points as part of a 14-point quarter.
Mackenzie LePage led the way for the Lakes with nine points on the night.
