The Great Lakes Hockey Conference announced its All-Conference teams Friday.
The conference champion Calumet Copper Kings took home the conference’s biggest honors, Coach of the Year Dan Giachino and Player of the Year Brent Loukus.
Loukus’ teammates, co-captain Sam Erkkila and sophomore winger Tanner Rowe earned First Team honors. They were joined by Houghton’s captain, Kevin Bostwick, senior defenseman Justin Norkol and sophomore goaltender Jimmy Pietila.
Hancock’s sophomore forward Austin Salani also earned a spot on the First Team.
On the Second Team, Calumet’s Cam Kauppinen was the team’s lone representative. Houghton’s senior forward Brendan Erickson and assistant captain P.J. Donnelly were also named to the team.
Among those earning honorable mention were Calumet’s sophomore winger Dean Loukus, senior defenseman Josh VanDenburg and junior goaltender Alex Studebaker. Houghton’s junior defenseman Ty Halonen and Hancock’s sophomore defenseman Bradley Randell were also honored.
